New Member Orientation Course (NMOC)
What is NMOC?
1. The New Member Orientation Course is an information session designed to provide a detailed overview of Kelowna and District Fish and Game Club (KDFGC).
2. The New Member Orientation Course is available to anyone interested in becoming a member of KDFGC.
3. The New Member Orientation Course must be completed, prior to the purchase of a KDFGC membership.
4. The New Member Orientation Course must be completed prior to participating in any KDFGC firearm or archery activities.
Is there a fee to participate in the NMOC?
1. No, there is no participation or enrollment fee.
2. The New Member Orientation Course is delivered by trained KDFGC Volunteers.
Course Registration:
1. NMOC is delivered on alternate Saturdays. Visit our website at kdfgc.org for course dates.
2. Course Time:10 am – 11:30 am (time is approximate depending on class size)
3. Register for NMOC online via our website at kdfgc.org (limited spots available)
Course content:
- Introduction to Kelowna and District Fish and Game Club.
- Membership fee structure: adult, youth, family and guests.
- Club structure: access and security.
- Membership: safety responsibilities and expectations.
- Introduction to the various firearm, and archery, related venues and activities, available to all club members and guests.
What else do I need to know about NMOC?
1. The course begins at 10 am. Please be at our front gate no later than 9:45 am.
2. Your NMOC Instructor, will meet you and take you through the course.
3. A portion of the course content includes a brief tour of the grounds:
- Ear and eye protection is mandatory during the “tour portion” of the course.
- Dress for the weather.
- The tour involves driving and “some” walking.
- We can easily accommodate anyone who may have mobility issues.
4. A positive attitude is always appreciated.
